BIOGRAPHY
Song writer, composer, arranger, performer and producer, Senegalese artist Thiecko, based in France furrows the roads with his Taxi Brouss Band spreading the spirit of public transportation in Africa and offering to all people the roots of reggae brotherhood.
Former keyboard player in Amandla (a famous reggae trio in Senegal in the 90's) his music evokes with accuracy, universal love, faith and unity, and also sings about evils of politic in Africa.
What we retains especially are the human and social values that his music defends and his invitation to be respectful, just, and have solidarity and tolerance...

Thiecko - SOLO

Auteur, compositeur, arrangeur, interprète et producteur, THIECKO sillonne le monde, à bord de son TAXI BROUSS’ BAND les routes pour colporter l'esprit des transports en commun en Afrique, où les gens discutent et partagent pendant le voyage et nous offrir ainsi un reggae roots fraternel.

Ancien clavier d'AMANDLA (trio reggae très connu dans les années 90 au Sénégal) THIECKO évoque avec justesse l’amour, la foi et l’unité, il nous fait également part de son engagement en évoquant les questions politiques.
Ce que l’on retient surtout, ce sont les valeurs humaines et sociales qu’il défend et son invitation au respect, à la justice à la solidarité, et à la tolérance, en Wolof, Bambara, Français et Anglais.


Après un premier album «TON COMBAT» sorti en juin 2004 et après plusieurs concerts en Europe et en Afrique, THIECKO revient en 2010 avec «SAYAAN» la source en Wolof, un album réalisé entre la France, le Sénégal et l’Angleterre. «STAND TALL» en 2013 qui comme ses albums précédents n'échappe pas au voyage et au brassage des différentes cultures et in uences musicales. Avec 10 titres, tous différents de par les arrangements, l'exécution musicale, surtout les langues et les thèmes abordés.

Plus d'une vingtaine de musiciens provenant du Sénégal, de la France, de la Jamaïque, de l'Île Maurice, ont participé à ce projet «STAND TALL», ce qui donne à l’album un cachet particulier.
L'album a été mixé à Kingston par STEVEN STANLEY qui a travaillé avec: Sean Paul, Bob Marley, Gregory Isaacs, Black Uhuru... et plus d'une centaines de stars jamaïcaines.

THIECKO a pu s'entourer de grosses pointures de reggae durant son échappée Jamaïcaine telles que : Robbie Shakespeare: qu'on ne présente plus et qui est l'un des artistes les plus proli ques du reggae avec son compère Sly. Dean Fraser : le plus grand saxophoniste reggae de tous les temps, Glen DaCosta, le saxophoniste de Bob Marley & the Wailers, Bongo Herman, percussionniste légendaire Danny «AXEMAN» Thompson: le bassiste de Bunny Wailer et U-Roy, Franklyn «BUBBLER» Waul, aux claviers pour Ziggy Marley, Alpha Blondy .... Glen Browne, le bassiste de Ziggy Marley, Tarry Riley, Jimmy Cliff, Alvin Haughton, le percussionniste de Burning Spear, Jimmy Cliff, Bernard Lavilliers.
Un duo avec Sophia Brown «la Perle de la Jamaïque » sur «Still in my heart» et avec le chanteur de reggae sénégalais Sun Sooley sur «African heroes»

Son clip « Wise man said » a remporté en septembre 2016 aux Akademia Music Awards à Los Angeles aux Usa, le « Best reggae music video » Son nouveau single «Not in His Name» est élu « Best reggae song » aux AfroBeat Music Award Germany en octobre 2016 en Allemagne.
Il a partagé la scène avec entre autres : Sophia Brown, Alpha Blondy, Groundation, Jamaica All Sars, Protoje, Pierpoljak, Gerald De Palmas, Youssou N’dour, Baba Maal, Salif Keita etc......

« Divide and rule « le nouveau single, sorti en janvier, avec un grand invité, Flabba Holt, le bassiste du mythique groupe Israel Vibration.

En novembre 2019, Thiecko est primé "Best Male Reggae Singer" aux Lady Flava Radio Network Awards aux Etats Unis.


Thiecko s'est déjà produit, en France, Italie, Allemagne, Hollande, Autriche, Angleterre, Turquie , Luxembourg etc...

After his 1st album «TON COMBAT» released in june 2004, and after several concerts in France and Africa, he came back in 2009 with «SAYAAN» the source in wolof. Thiecko surrounded himself with great jamaican musicians, during his escape, such as: Robbie Shakespeare: one of the most prolific musicians, who needs no introduction, Dean Frazer: greatest reggae saxophonist of all time, Glen Dacosta: the master saxophonist of Bob Marley and the Wailers, Bongo Herman: legendary percussionist. Danny "Axeman" Thompson: bassist for Bunny Wailer and U-Roy, Franklyn "Bubbler" Waul: keyboards for Ziggy Marley, Alpha Blondy, Glen Browne: bassist for Ziggy Marley, Tarrus Riley, Jimmy Cliff, Alvin Haughton: percussionist for Burning Spear , Jimmy Cliff.........


A duet with Sophia Brown (pearl of Jamaica) in the title «still in my heart» and senegalese reggae singer Sun Sooley on «African heroes».
The album was mixed in Kingston by the genius and famous sound ingeneer Steven Stanley .


He has shared the stage with Sophia brown in Kingston, Alpha Blondy, Groundaton, Jamaica All Stars, Protoje, Pierpoljak, Gérald de Palmas, Youssou Ndour, Baba Maal, Salif Keita and many others.


He performed in France, Germany, Italy, Austria, Luxembourg, Turkey, Uk, Nertherland etc....


His video “Wise man said” is awarded by Akademia Music Awards “Best reggae music video” in september 2016 in Los Angeles.


His new single "Not in His Name" was crowned “Best reggae song 2016” by Afro Beat Music Award in Germany.


« Divide and rule » the new single with the great Flabba Holt, the bass player of Israel Vibration realeased in january 2019.


Thiecko was crowned "Best Male Reggae Singer" on november 2019 by Lady Flava Radio Network in Usa.
